The crystal blue water of Georgian Bay, long beaches of white rocks and the tree covered cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment are just three of the natural attractions that draw thousands upon thousands of visitors to the beautiful Bruce Peninsula every year. This cottage is located near all three of these attractions on the western shores of Georgian Bay about a 20 minute drive south of Tobermory.
The elevated front deck has an easterly exposure and is furnished with a propane BBQ and glass patio table with 6 chairs for outdoor dining making this the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee watching the sunrise.
The large dining room has a wall of windows facing the bay and is furnished with a leather couch and a number of comfortable chairs. The dining room can accommodate 6 people and is just steps from the gigantic and light filled kitchen.
The games room is furnished with a pool table and foozball game for those days when you just feel like staying in, kicking back and having some fun with your family and friends.
This comfortably furnished cottage has three bedrooms and three washrooms. The three bedrooms are all located on the second floor. The master bedroom has a spacious three piece ensuite washroom equipped with a tub. The second and third washrooms are located on the main floor.
The waterfront beach is made up of large white rocks that have been rolled up on the shoreline after being pounded and rounded by the waves and ice on Georgian Bay for thousands of years. The lake bottom in front of the cottage is rocky and water shoes are recommended there and everywhere else on the Bruce Peninsula. The waters of Georgian Bay are clear and many visitors enjoy snorkeling there.
A shoreline fire pit is the perfect place for the family and friends to gather in the evening and enjoy a campfire roasting marshmallows, singing songs and enjoying each others company.
A public boat launch and a long concrete dock are located about a 5 minute drive away. Those renters with boats can launch there and the enjoy time spent exploring the area by water. During the summer, local fisherman use down-riggers to fish for salmon and trout in the waters of Dyers Bay.
This cottage will prove to be a favourite on the Bruce Peninsula.

Fathom Five National Marine Park, which includes 22 shipwrecks and several historic lightstations. For the adventerous bike enthusiasts, there is
Mountain Bike The Bruce Adventure Park or just bring your bikes to explore the Bruce while saving the environment. The Peninsula is also the home of Ontarios Largest Natural Limestone Caves for your inquisitive side. The Bruce is also especially suited for those that want to horseback ride, boat, fish, swim,
golf, snowmobile, ski, rock climb or something a little more relaxing like touring the lighthouses, exploring the flora and fona or just sitting back and letting the wildlife and birds come and explore you. For family fun, go fly a kite on the shores of Georgian Bay or Lake Huron. Take advantage of the wide open spaces to add a splash of colour to the summer sky.
(Note: Avoid areas with power lines!) Also, the Bruce Peninsula is one of only two areas left in Ontario without light pollution, which makes it ideally suited for star gazing. Spread out a blanket, stretch out under the stars, and observe the mystery of the night skies. Remember to wear insect repellent.
